My Story
Originally trained as a nurse I have spent many years observing and working with a diverse cross section of society. I have experienced individuals in trying and upsetting times for a multitude of reasons. It was this interest in human communication that drew me eventually to counselling and psychotherapy a profession that I am proud to be part of and feel passionate about.
I have, at times, also benefitted from the positive work counselling can offer and it is this personal experience that fuels my empathy for those seeking help and needing emotional support.
My own journey of self development is still continuing as I learn and discover new aspects of myself.
Alongside working privately, I have been part of the team at 121 Youth Counselling (Hart Voluntary Action) for over 7 years. I have specific interest and experience in working with 11-16 yr olds and working with families.
